What Does The Number Next To My Subscriptions On Youtube Mean
3 Answers 3
I retrieve is the number of videos released/published by the channels yous subscribed. The number refers to the videos published in the last flow of time (a week perchance, or a calendar month, here I'k non then sure).
I verified this on my youtube channel, and it seems to be so. Because if you lot click there in the correct panel appears those videos released by channels in the last catamenia of time. And if you motion elsewhere in the menu the number disappears, as if you already viewed them.

This is actually partially correct, from what I was told. Every bit it supposedly is the number of actions that aqueduct has washed in a certain time, that you lot told YT to notify you of in the settings. As I cannot verify this, and information technology is a very giddy and useless metric in any case, I did non write this an an answer. I upvoted this respond though, as it is the ane closer to the reply.

No, it's actually the number of uploads posted within the current calendar week that you are viewing the subscriptions bar in.

I take disproved this past examining my own subscriptions. And the numbers do not become down when I view things, at least not until a twenty-four hours or 2 afterward, where they frequently go down whether I scout things or not. Also they don't count or sum correctly if that is the intended meaning.

If you lot hover over the subscriptions, you should see the iii dot menu, which will provide a driblet downward to sort past specific sections, 1 of which is New Activity. When you search by New Action information technology sorts by the contempo activity of that user. As for what that activeness could be, I'g clueless, equally you can see here, the data on the channel indicates 46 items, but there's only 5 videos.

@spraff I had a similar problem, however the numbers decreased later on forcefulness reloading the page. I have no idea what the numbers hateful, but they disappear after viewing the channel and reloading the page.
